Award winner, Eileen Fegan from Solihull Health Check Clinic. West Midlands Woma

Another success for the multi-award winning Health Clinic in Solihull

Our very own Health Correspondent has done it again.  Another award for Solihull Health Check Clinic has been confirmed, with Eileen and Pat Fegan being completely delighted.  Along with winning the Chamber of Commerce Customer Care award in October, Eileen has just walked away with the prestigious West Midlands Woman of the Year Award 2016, for her Outstanding Contribution to Health and Well-Being.  The glittering awards ceremony was held at the Novotel Hotel, Broad Street on the evening of 11th November and the event was attended by more than 500 people, from businesses ranging from technology, social change, education and health care.  Justice Williams MBE, founded the awards, to celebrate inspirational and dynamic women, who are passionate about the field they work in and who make a difference in society.

These individuals are breaking boundaries within their field and they also contribute to the economic well-being of the region.  The awards are also designed to celebrate the success, talent, achievements and outstanding contribution made by women in the West Midlands.

The award was presented to Eileen, because along with Pat, who is her business partner and husband, they have provided a specialist early diagnosis and health screening Clinic, accessible to all and with appointments to suit the patients.  Because Eileen lost her own Father tragically, in 2013, due to sepsis following a missed diagnosis of a urine infection, both Pat and Eileen are extremely aware that finding silent killers like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, bowel disease, urine infections and kidney disease, allow an individual to take steps to prevent the condition from becoming life threatening.  Since the Clinic was officially opened in 2014, they have been awarded the Chamber of Commerce Future Face of Business award for 2015, the Birmingham City Council Corporate Social Responsibility award, the Solihull Chamber of Commerce award for Customer Care 2015 and then again in 2016.

When asked about what this most recent award means to the clinic,  Managing Director, Pat Fegan said  “We have an amazing team around us.  Without the hard work and commitment to our patients, that every member of our team shows, we would not be a multi-award winning private health screening clinic. We are completely delighted that Eileen has been awarded the West Midlands Woman of the Year award, for her outstanding contribution to health and well-being.  The amount of patients who contact the Clinic after they have had their consultation, with praise and thanks, is testament to the professionalism, the compassion and the expert knowledge that Eileen has, about early health screening and lifestyle change”.

The Clinic is not only available to individuals; they also go into Corporate clients and undertake health screening for executives, directors and employees.  www.solihullhealthcheckclinic.co.uk.
