Urinalysis Dip Test

It is essential that you include 2.5L to 3L of water in your daily diet, every day and more if you exercise.  Our bodies are made up of 70% water and it should remain at this level throughout the day.  If glucose is detected in your urine sample, it can indicate diabetes.

Urinalysis can detect a urinary tract infection.  It can also detect systemic diseases, such as kidney/renal disease, diabetes mellitus or trauma and internal bleeding.  Follow the advice below to ensure good renal function and hydration;

Increase your fluid intake to at least 2 liters’ of water per day

Mild symptoms of dehydration may include;

Headaches similar to what is experienced during a hangover

Loss of or lack of the ability to concentrate

Muscle cramps (especially leg cramps)

A sudden episode of visual snow

Decreased blood pressure, and dizziness or even fainting when standing up

Decreased urine volume

Abnormally dark urine

Unexplained tiredness

Irritability and nervousness

The body needs water, and not any other of the manmade additives, present in drinks such as Coffee, Tea, Soda (soft drinks) or Alcohol, that is currently used, by many people, as an alternative to water. Remember, by consuming one can of Soft drink (pH 1.5 – 2.5) will require more than 30 (300ml) glasses of water to wash the Acidic toxins from your body.
