Here at the multi-award-winning Solihull Health Check Clinic, we understand that leading a healthy lifestyle is the most important way you can maintain your health as you get older. We will undertake comprehensive, painless, accurate, affordable and convenient screening tests to give us a good ideaif you require further investigations.
Our purpose
Many serious conditions can be reversed if identified early enough. Having these simple tests done every year, allows us to identify changes in your health and deal with them quickly. All of our simple and non-invasive tests are suitable for those who just want reassurance and support while maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as well as those who already have conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity, that require monitoring.
We offer simple blood screening that can identify important risk factors for heart disease and diabetes. The instruments we use to perform your tests are lab accurate and are used by major hospitals, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and laboratories. Results are provided in a comprehensive report and any advice and lifestyle recommendations are given in an action plan.

About Me
I live with my partner and three cats in Manchester. I love cycling and shopping. I enjoy socialising and trips to the theatre and love the fact that we can nip into Manchester for a mid week theatre trip if there is something good on. I like to exercise and enjoy walking, cycling, occasional running and yoga mainly to counteract my love of eating out at weekends. We love our campervan and can often be found traveling round for long weekends away exploring the local area and trying to avoid the rain on our many trips to new found bars and restaurants.
About my Training and Qualifications
I am an experienced pharmacist prescriber who has been qualified since 2003. I have a background in community pharmacy and general practice. I currently work for the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) at the University of Manchester as a Lead learning development pharmacist and have also worked for the previous four years in a large private menopause clinic alongside this role.
I have had a keen interest in women’s health including contraception, sexual health and the menopause for many years. I sit on the Faculty of Sexual Health Education and Training Committee as the pharmacist representative. I was the pharmacist representative on the recent NICE diagnosis and management of the menopause guidance (NG23) update. This started during my career as a community pharmacist where I used to be involved in supply of contraception through enhanced pharmacy services. My public health masters was linked to supply of contraception through community pharmacy and this continued to fuel my passion for women’s health. I then moved into a practice role alongside my education and training role and I realised how little training health care professionals have in the menopause and what this means for women who want to discuss this during consultations.
I am really passionate about enabling women to have access to evidence-based information and treatment options to enable them to make an individualised decision about the best treatment for them. I am keen to ensure that all health care professionals view women’s health as a priority. I am currently completing an Education Doctorate focusing on menopause education for health care professionals in the hope that I can start to change education and training for pharmacy professionals to enable improved provision of menopause care as I realise from my own experience that this is really lacking.
I strive for all women to feel empowered to make their own choices in relation to their menopause care, from working at a large private menopause clinic over the last four years I recognise that each person is an individual and the symptoms associated with the menopause can have a huge impact on their quality of life. It is not a one size fits all approach. I ensure that everyone I see has the opportunity to be heard and be able to feel supported and ask questions about their treatment options to help them to navigate their perimenopause and menopause symptoms effectively.
I am a member of the British Menopause Society (BMS) and I hold the BMS Management of the menopause certificate. I am currently completing my BMS specialist training. I have completed various other Menopause training course including Confidence in the menopause and the RCOG/ BMS two day post reproductive health training.
